Raffaello wins Gold at the 2026 International Coffee Tasting
An international award for one of Pura Vita’s signature blends.
Raffaello has won a Gold Medal at the 2026 International Coffee Tasting, the international coffee competition organised by IIAC – International Institute of Coffee Tasters and dedicated to sensory evaluation.
It is a result we are particularly pleased with because it rewards what matters most: the coffee in the cup.
In 2026, the International Coffee Tasting reached its 18th edition. Over the years, almost 5,000 products from different countries have taken part in the competition. Coffees are assessed by IIAC judges using established sensory analysis procedures: each product is tasted blind, and the results are then statistically validated. Only coffees that meet the standards set out in the competition rules are awarded a medal.
Gold for Raffaello
Within the Pura Vita range, Raffaello is our balanced and harmonious blend, created to deliver an espresso with the right balance of body, crema and overall drinking pleasure.
It is one of the coffees that best reflects the idea behind Pura Vita: bringing a recognisable Italian coffee style to the everyday espresso through blends developed and roasted at our roastery in Brescia. On the Pura Vita website, Raffaello is part of our whole-bean coffee range alongside Botticelli, Giotto, Caravaggio and Donatello.
The 2026 IIAC Gold Medal therefore represents more than an award to display on the pack: it is independent recognition of the work behind the blend and of the sensory quality it delivers in the cup.
